Comsoft’s Innovative System for Automated Aeronautical Communication (ISAAC) is ready for operational use at the Brussels International Airport in Belgium.
ISAAC, an aeronautical message handling system (AMHS), will act as a national and international distributor of flight plans, meteorological information and NOTAMs (Notice to Airmen) over the AFTN, CIDIN and AMHS network, and provide an OLDI communication hub for air traffic management systems.
The system will enable Belgocontrol, the Belgian air traffic authority, to avoid investment costs induced by the new FMTP standard.
ISAAC functions through AIDA-NG aeronautical messaging solution, which combines MHS, CIDIN, AFTN, OLDI communication facilities on a unified platform.
ISAAC will also include the Comsoft Network Management System (CNMS) to simplify the supervision of the overall system and to allow central monitoring of all integrated components.
The ISAAC system will begin operations from January next year.
