Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has recorded an 11.9% rise in passenger traffic to 4.4 million and a 15.5% rise in cargo volume to 373,000t in October 2010, compared with the same period in 2009.
The growth in passenger traffic in October was mainly driven by transfer and visitors traffic, which rose 17% and 14% respectively over October 2009, according to the airport.
In October aircraft movement rose 13.7% to 27,195.
During the first ten months of 2010, HKIA recorded an 11% rise in passenger traffic to 42.4 million, a 27.1% rise in cargo traffic to 3.4 million tons, while aircraft movement rose 8.8% to 252,085.
