The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority has selected Societe Internationale de Telecommunication Aeronautique (SITA) to install a fully integrated border security management system in the country’s airport facilities.
SITA vice president Hani El Assaad said the State of Qatar will have a fully integrated border management system for the first time.
The system will cover a wide range of areas from interactive passenger processing to risk assessment and disaster recovery.
The high-tech system will provide security for air transport passengers and ensure smooth passenger flow, according to Assaad.
Assaad said it will take three to six months to implement the system.
