The UK air navigation service provider NATS has ordered nine additional ARTAS systems for air traffic control centres at Swanwick, Prestwick and Whiteley.
Comsoft will equip the centres with both operational, and test and development systems.
Comsoft will install the ARTAS systems according to NATS’s configuration requirements, perform factory and site acceptance testing, basic and fine tuning, as well as training and documentation.
The multi-phased project will be complete by the end of 2012, according to atc-network.com.
ARTAS is the European air traffic management (ATM) surveillance tracker and server, which was developed by EUROCONTROL on behalf of its member states in the 1990s.
