Lockheed Martin has received a contract from Kazaeronavigatsia to deploy an additional Skyline air traffic management automation system in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Skyline system includes flight data processing and surveillance data processing capabilities that can function as a tower, terminal area, procedural or flow monitoring system service.

Under the $49.8m contract, Lockheed will install the Skyline system in the new Almaty area control centre (ACC) and in 13 airfield towers, as well as maintain the system until the end of 2025.

Lockheed will also upgrade existing Skyline systems at the Astana ACC and the Aktobe ACC.
