Singapore Airlines’ low-cost carrier Scoot has renewed its long-term communication network services contract with IT and telecommunication provider SITA, as the airline continues to expand to new locations across the globe.

Scoot is using SITA AirportHub to simplify its central IT systems connections to the airports in its rapidly-growing network of routes across Asia, Europe, Africa and America.

The new technology has enabled the airport to deploy IT and telecoms infrastructure within three weeks.

SITA said that its network services will connect Scoot destinations worldwide to its reservation system, Departure Control Services and disaster recovery site.

AirportHub aims to simplify the process of dealing with local telecom providers and enables airlines to connect all their applications and IT systems at an airport quickly and easily.

Currently, SITA’s system is operational at more than 440 airports and delivers 7,000 customer connections across the globe.
