Ireland’s Dublin Airport (DUB) has introduced WebTrak, a web-based service that provides information on flight paths and noise levels of arriving and departing aircraft at the airport.

The new system was developed in partnership with the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) and Envirosuite environmental management experts.

It is an interactive tool that allows users to check the flight path and the noise data of any specific flight.

WebTrak provides near real-time information regarding the origin and destinations of flights, aircraft types, altitudes and the noise levels registered at Dublin Airport’s noise monitoring terminals.

The tool allows users to identify their location using Eircode or map and check flight and noise data in relation to any specific flight.

Dublin Airport managing director Vincent Harrison said: “We have been engaging with our local communities for decades now and we know this will be a welcome tool for those concerned with aircraft noise. Webtrak is available for everyone to access on our website and provides information on flight origin, destination, aircraft type, height, flight path and noise level registered on the airport’s noise monitoring terminals.

“The system also provides an additional simplified way for members of the public to submit noise complaints.”

Webtrak includes an automated noise complaint system, which allows members of the public to monitor flights and submit noise complaints.

The new tool has been deployed in more than 70 airports across the world, including London Heathrow (LHR), and Stansted (STN) in the UK, Schiphol (AMS) in the Netherlands, Toronto Pearson (YYZ) in Canada and the Aena-operated Spanish airports.
