Delhi International Airport (DIAL) has opened India’s first exclusive private jet terminal at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The general aviation (GA) terminal facility will handle chartered flights and private jet operations.

According to local news reports, the newly developed apron is more than 800,000ft² with 57 parking bays.
The terminal is capable of handling to more than 150 private jets every day. It also features passenger lounges, retail sections and 24/7 personal concierge services. Passengers will also receive access to Wi-Fi enabled services.
At the inauguration, Indian Minister of Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri said: “We expect a bulk of pre-Covid-19 domestic air passengers’ traffic to be back by Diwali this year. A general aviation terminal was the need of the hour at Delhi Airport, which is India’s busiest airport, even in these Covid times.
“The dedicated GA terminal would fulfil all needs of general aviation users, without passing through regular terminals. I am sure this new general aviation terminal at Delhi Airport, built by DIAL, would contribute to the growth of civil aviation sector in the country.”

Recently, the airport’s operator DIAL opened India’s first airport Covid-19 testing facility.
The testing facility is located at the multi-level car parking area of Terminal 3 and will be used to test arriving international passengers. It can test up to 2,500 samples per day.
