Dubai-based airline Emirates has announced its plans to increase its service offering to more cities to aid people to return to their homes during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Along with the previously announced services to London and Frankfurt, Emirates will operate flights to airports in Jakarta, Manila, Taipei, Chicago, Tunis, Algeria, and Kabul.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) suspended regular passenger flights amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The country is now permitting limited out-going passenger flights.

Emirates News Agency stated that anyone who wishes to travel will have to comply with the entry requirements of the destination country and can book on the airline’s website or through a travel agent.

With the offering of some services, Emirates has resumed its operations in Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport.

Passengers travelling will have to adhere to all safety and health measures implemented by the authorities in the UAE and the destination country.

The passengers will have to follow social distancing guidelines and wear masks in the airport and the aircraft. They should arrive at Dubai Airport T3 three hours before the scheduled departure.

Emirates will not offer online check in, seat selections and chauffeur drive, lounge and other services.

To limit the spread of Covid-19, the packaging of food and beverages that will be offered will be modified.

Passengers will not be permitted to carry cabin baggage except a laptop, handbag, briefcase or childcare items.

The airline added that, after each journey, all aircraft will undergo enhanced cleaning and disinfection processes at Dubai Airport.

Last week, Dubai Airports announced it had been working on completing the travel formalities for the remaining 91 passengers stranded due to the suspension of passenger flights in the Emirate.
