Hungarian air navigation service provider HungaroControl has partnered with Azeraeronavigation Air Traffic Control Center (AZANS) to offer air navigation services in Azerbaijan.

Subsequently, a delegation of HungaroControl led by executive director Kornél Szepessy visited the new Airspace Supervision and Efficiency Center and the AZANS.

Both parties discussed various issues for further cooperation, which include development of conceptual solutions for air traffic control towers and airspace modelling.

Additionally, they discussed training of air navigation services personnel, development of unmanned system motion control, and research work in air navigation.

After the discussions, AZANS director Farkhan Guliyev and the HungaroControl executive director Kornél Szepessy signed a memorandum of cooperation.

In September, AZANS signed memorandums of understanding with Abraham Technology and Ehang Intelligent Equipment.

Abraham Technology will work to set up a high-tech Free Trade Zone for the development of an intelligent air navigation hub and promote Azerbaijan’s position in ‘intellectual air navigation’.

Ehang Intelligent Equipment specialises in the design and manufacturing of innovative aerial equipment and the development of intelligent aerial vehicles for use in various industries.

The main objective of the memorandum was to help establish a Command Control Centre at Heydar Aliyev International Airport to control flights of civil unmanned aerial vehicles after their registration and certification in relevant state bodies in Azerbaijan.
