Five years ago nobody had a means of easily assessing and breaking down the emissions across the various phases of flight.

Most emissions work was achieved through annual inventories. With AirTrak, for the first time, you could see daily updates with trends that showed the effect of congestion, different weather patterns and operating conditions.

Without this visibility it was difficult to determine what the airport should do to influence these emissions. Wind the clock forward five years and AirTrak is now operating at several European airports doing just that.
