Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics (SPPAL) will present its range of smart software, baggage systems and digital solutions for airports and airlines at this year’s inter airport China in Beijing.

Trade experts can find the Siemens team at Stand 200 in Hall A of the China International Exhibition Centre from 5-7 September 2018. SPPAL will show visitors amongst other things products such as its reliable VarioTray technology.

VarioTray offers airports with a high number of transfer passengers decisive advantages for baggage handling. With its unique design, the Siemens trays can reach top speeds of up to 10m/s. The systems also achieve some of the highest throughput rates worldwide, for example, up to 19,200 baggage items per hour at Terminal 3 in Beijing.

Furthermore, Siemens will be presenting the highly efficient Early Bag Storage (EBS) VarioStore, which adds considerable value in particular at international hubs: airports allow their passengers the comfort to check in their baggage the day before the flight or several hours in advance.

SPPAL is paying special attention to digitalisation at inter airport China. Digitalisation is a key factor for innovations and growth: with Cloud-based software solutions, Siemens is helping airports throughout the world to increase their competitive edge. This includes the use of Internet of Things applications.

Further highlights at the Siemens stand include:

  • Comprehensive baggage handling solutions: In addition to the VarioTray system, Siemens meets all customer requirements, from check-in and belt conveyor systems to efficient sorting and baggage reclaim facilities
  • Airport and cargo software: Future-oriented digital solutions with cloud-based platforms ensure greater transparency and efficiency in increasingly complex business processes

The Siemens team is looking forward to meeting with customers and partners at inter airport China to share expertise and discuss the aviation industry’s growing needs.
