The French Air Navigation Service Department (DSNA) and Egis Avia signed a convention on January 2 2008 to endeavour to implement the MAESTRO solution which manages arrival (AMAN) and departure flights (DMAN).

This convention rationalizes, optimizes and reinforces the development of a common product through an integrated engineering team. This multidisciplinary team is made up of engineers with a wide experience in air traffic system development supported by experts in safety regulations (ESARR) and Human Factors.

Both DSNA and Egis Avia have defined an ambitious roadmap for this product and they steer together the development of new modules and extensions. Future users of the MAESTRO solution will benefit from a system which factorizes functional and technical evolutions of the entire installed base such as user-friendly and seamless interfaces for En-Route and Approach controllers or integrated arrival and departure management systems.

Fortified by a nearly 15-year operational expertise with 17 equipped airports in 10 countries, the convention paves the way to new perspectives for MAESTRO in the context of the Single European Sky and the significant increase in global air traffic. In the short term, the common MAESTRO solution will be implemented on the French airports of Lyon, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Paris Orly and Nice as well as in Belgium or Taiwan.
