In 2019, Tolmachevo airport served 6,747,151 passengers, an increase of 14.2%.

The number of passengers on domestic flights totalled 4,903,212, an increase of 14.5%. The number of passengers on international flights totalled 1,843,939, an increase of 13.3%.

In December, Tolmachevo airport served 542,085 people, an increase of 16% from 2018. Domestic flights served 381,935 passengers, up 14%, and international flights served 160,150, up 21%.

The number of airport transfer passengers had increased by 27% as of year-end. In 2019, Tolmachevo airport has served 1.73 million transfer passengers. Its share in the total passenger traffic is 26.3%.

Over the year, the airport served 33,191 flights, up 13% compared to 2018, including 2,882 in December, an increase of 17.7%.

In 2019, cargo traffic amounted to 34,142 tons, up 7%, including 3,692 tons of cargo and mail, up 8%, in December.

Over the year, new flight routes have commenced from Novosibirsk to Bukhara, Voronezh, Guangzhou, Nizhny Novgorod and Novokuznetsk. In addition, new charter flights to Surat Thani have begun. Since August 2019, Smartavia has been the new partner of Tolmachevo airport on the Moscow route.

Currently, Tolmachevo airport ranks sixth among Russian airports in terms of total passenger traffic, after the Moscow aviation hub, St. Petersburg and Sochi, and is among the top three in terms of cargo traffic.
