OMK PTE 2016

At PTE 2016 in March, OMK will be demonstrating their full range of modular systems designed to satisfy the ever-changing airport environment.

Working closely with airport operators and architects OMK have identified a requirement for increased seating capacity at gate rooms in order to accommodate the new breed of large passenger aircraft such as the A380. Reacting to this, they have developed a new modular seat, FLITE, a compact system that provides up to a 15% increase in seating density over other products on the market.

FLITE is not only compact but also easy to maintain, being the first seat to utilise identical interchangeable seat and back panels mounted to a single support bracket, minimising the number of spare parts to be stocked. Moulded polyurethane and saddle stitched coach hide leather finish options plus a power and intelligent USB charging system will all be on display.

In addition OMK will be showcasing their award winning modular seating system TRAX. Originally designed for BAA in 1990, TRAX has been in continuous production for the last 25 years and boasts their largest range of finish and chassis options. TRAX can be tailored to suit multiple passenger profiles and OMK’s in-house design department ensure that developments such as the high back and Leg Rest configurations can be retro fitted, allowing customers to upgrade their seats to any new option without the full cost of replacement.

Designed to cater for short-sit areas such as baggage reclaim and rail interchanges SEVILLE is a unique bench system made entirely from aluminium, making it suitable for interior and exterior use. Visitors will be able to view the latest integrated power delivery option.

OMK are the market leaders in the design and manufacture of terminal seating systems, established in 1965 this British company have now installed their award winning products into over 280 airports worldwide. Their specialist team will be on hand throughout the three-day event to discuss all aspects of seating including free planning and specification advice.
