Jotron AS has entered into a contract with the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation Division for Maritime Capacities (FLO). The contract includes maintenance and an upgrade of the public address and general alarm (PAGA) systems on five Fridtjof Nansen-class frigates.

The RNoN frigates are fully equipped, multipurpose ships capable within surface to air, surface-to-surface and anti-submarine warfare. The standard crew capacity is 120 people.

Jotron will provide a totally integrated PAGA system to the five Fridtjof Nansen-class frigates. This installation is scheduled for completion in mid-2017. The contract with FLO also includes a service and maintenance agreement for the life time of the Jotron system.

Jotron has supplied PAGA systems to the oil and gas industry, and other offshore and onshore applications, since 1979. By offering message and alarm distribution with a special focus on ease of operation, speech intelligibility, reliability and fault tolerance, Jotron meets the needs of the tough safety requirements of the market. The built in self-test and monitoring functionality results in a cost-efficient system maintenance.

"We are very pleased to sign this contract. Choosing a Jotron PAGA solution assures FLO an extended life time of their frigates," says Leif Morten Ramberg, director marketing and sales energy markets at Jotron.
