SENEAM, the Mexican Air Service Provider has selected Thales to progressively deploy the Aeronautical Message Handling (AMHS) capability across a significant number of the country’s national and international airports.
Thales AMHS solution has been selected following an international competitive tender and was rated above the competition as the most advanced and economically high performing solution. The other key criteria which led to the selection were Thales’s smooth transition approach and its close proximity with the customer’s base of operations.
The new Aeronautical message switch, based on the latest generation of the high-end Thales AERMAC product release, natively embeds AMHS function as well as full compliance to the new ICAO Flight Plan 2012 format. It is a field proven solution already deployed in 30 countries.
This AMHS project reinforces the long-term relationship of confidence established between SENEAM and Thales in the ATM domain.
With more than 130 radars and 25 Air traffic Centres installed across Mexico, Santo Domingo, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil, as well as navigation aids systems in operation in nearly all the countries of the region, Thales confirms its strong leadership in the broader Latin American region, where it has been present for over 40 years.
