Crisplant, a leading global supplier of baggage-handling systems, will highlight the latest innovations in baggage-handling technology at TranspoQuip Latin America, São Paulo, Brazil, on 10-12 November 2010.

The Crisplant stand will screen videos of the advanced baggage-handling system, installed at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport’s international terminal, which integrates the industry’s most energy-efficient tilt-tray sorter as well as an RFID tunnel with integrated bar-code scanner with near perfect read-rates, as well as the high-speed CrisBag baggage transportation and storage system.

As Brazil prepares to host the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ and the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Crisplant will share their experience in helping South Africa to implement the robust baggage-handling operation at O.R. Tambo Airport in Johannesburg, which increased the airport’s existing capacity by 50% and successfully handled the surge in passenger numbers during the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™.

Crisplant Airport director, Henrik Mortensen, comments: “The latest Crisplant baggage-handling systems combine leading-edge systems with new fail-safe features designed to guarantee 24/7 availability. These systems should ensure that Brazil is ready to meet the surge in passenger numbers for the big upcoming sport events, as well as supporting future growth predictions and new generations of aircraft.”
