SkyCool technology has been installed on more than 500,000m² of wide-span building roofs.

A recent NSW Office of Environment and Heritage measurement and verification process found that SkyCool cooled a large temperature controlled warehouse to the degree that it was able to award a significant quantity of Energy Saving Certificates, enabling the operator to immediately recoup a portion of their investment even before they began to enjoy the benefit of the on-going energy savings.

In addition to detailed scientific analysis from the University of Technology Sydney, Queensland University of Technology and Lend Lease’s building engineers, results from direct customer measurements testify to the returns from the SkyCool investment, in some cases in less than 2 years.

Even these excellent returns based on energy pricing around $0.09 to $0.14 per kWhr will have improved for current and future installations due to increased electricity prices.

The buildings involved ranged from 2,000m² to 42,000m² in roof area.

Overall CO²-e reduction in just these centres alone is nearly 7,000t annually, or, 70,000t for the ten-year warranty period for SkyCool.
