Ansir/AP Morling is pleased to announce that it has played a key role in the expansion process of Syamsudin Noor International Airport, Indonesia, working alongside local partner PT Perkasa Multi Persada.
Indonesia is experiencing dramatic growth in passenger numbers year on year, which necessitates an equally dramatic infrastructure growth to keep up with the demand. Since the year 2000 alone working closely with local partners, Ansir/AP Morling has completed approximately 50 projects here. This growth and proven track record places us in a unique position as expansion continues at staggering rates.
Syamsudin Noor International Airport has experienced a remarkable growth path and has now completed a magnificent new terminal, details below.
In 2018, approximately 3.9 million passengers travelled through the old terminal, which was built for a total capacity of 1.5 million passengers.
The smart new terminal was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo 18th December 2019. From a floor space of just 9,000m², the expansion is truly dramatic to a new floor space area over 77,000m². The passenger capacity has expanded from approximately 1.5 million to ten million.
