From ITV Studios Entertainment North YORKSHIRE AIRPORT Tuesday 16th July 2019 on ITV Pictured: Leeds Bradford Air Traffic Control Tower Ey up! Yorkshire Airport is a brand new 6-part documentary series filmed over the summer of 2018 at Leeds Bradford Airport. Leeds Bradford may not be the UKÕs biggest airport, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in ambition. With owners having green lighted a huge multi million pound investment, the airport is undergoing a huge makeover. A recent Department of Transport report expects that Leeds Bradford will be the nationÕs fastest growing airport and hit passenger numbers of 7 million per year by 2030 But itÕs the next 12 months that are critical to the workforce of over 2000 of YorkshireÕs finest, as they aim to bring through the doors an extra 500,000 new passengers. Despite itÕs long term goals, the airport still maintains its warm and witty northern charm, and the series focuses on a dozen staff who go above and beyond every day to keep the terminal and airfield running.
