SITA has secured a ten-year, $15m contract from Ghana Airports Company to upgrade the baggage and passenger check-in systems at Kotoka International Airport, Ghana.
The technology upgrades include the introduction of a new baggage reconciliation system and the latest common-use self-service (CUSS) check-in kiosks; the airport will have an initial deployment of ten CUSS kiosks.
Under the ten-year project, SITA will also integrate its airport management solutions with a new airport operational database and flight information display system, which ensures passengers get a real-time view on flight changes.
The SITA Baggage Reconciliation System will allow Kotoka Airport to track over two million bags from check-in to delivery to ensure that the right bag is on the right plane for the right passenger.
