"As we grow we are confident that SITA will help us deliver their vision of the airport of the future and ensure that visitors to Cancun enjoy a smart, intelligent and connected airport."

SITA’s technology is intended to help manage the peak passenger traffic smoothly, and ensure optimum utilisation of space and resources, aiding quick passenger manoeuvring through the airport.

Recently, during a renovation programme, ASUR had upgraded its passenger management platform to SITA AirportConnect Open.

This system aids the use of common-use passenger processing systems (CUPPS) and common-use self-service (CUSS) kiosks.
About 375 workstations and 80 self-service kiosks are in place at the airport, with nine self-service gates currently being installed along with SITA’s new flight information display system.
