The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has installed aircraft tracking technology at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Nigeria, to provide real-time tracking of all aircraft in the country's airspace.

The latest technology is equipped with a GPS system, which allows aircraft to be monitored across the country.

The Nigerian Government has made it mandatory for all airline operators to install Emergency Locator Transmitters in their aircraft before commencing operation.

The initial deployment of the aircraft tracking technology in the country was at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos, according to thisdaylive.com.
