Mobilise Technology has launched a new Wi-Fi Travel service for passengers at Copenhagen Airport (CPH) in Denmark.

Powered by iPass, a provider of global mobile connectivity, the new service will offer the passengers unlimited data access to millions of Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide.

CPH handles 29 million passengers each year.

Mobilise Technology has used its Mobilise Hotspots solution to design and deliver the latest and advanced CPH Travel Wi-Fi service, including the mobile app, e-commerce site, billing systems, and supporting payment services.

"We are delighted that passengers using Copenhagen Airport will benefit from access to our global Wi-Fi network."

The SmartConnect software development kit (SDK) provided by iPass has been used to embed global Wi-Fi connectivity into the app, providing users with easy and secure Wi-Fi access at airports, hotels, airplanes, train stations, convention centres, outdoor venues, and public spaces, in more than 120 countries worldwide.

The CPH passengers using Mobilise Technology’s Wi-Fi Travel service will be able to access it on their personal computers (PCs), Mac, iOS and Android devices, and can connect up to three devices simultaneously.

iPass chief commercial officer Patricia Hume said: “No matter who we are, we all depend on connectivity, and therefore, we are delighted that passengers using Copenhagen Airport will benefit from access to our global Wi-Fi network.

“In the connected world we live in, being without Wi-Fi is no longer an option. As such, travellers need a cost-effective way to stay connected, regardless of where their travels take them, the number of devices they have, and how much data they want to use.”

In addition, the application will provide automatic connectivity in the background, and users will not have to be troubled with advertising or splash screens.
