Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste recorded an 18.4% increase in passenger traffic to 1.09 million in September 2011 compared with the same month last year.
The airport operator's total domestic traffic rose by 25.6% to 572,008, while its total international traffic increased by 11.4% to 522,875.
Passenger traffic at Cancún Airport grew by 13.5% to stand at 765,103 passengers, while overall passenger numbers at Huatulco increased by 62.6% and Oaxaca rose by 51.2%.
All of the operator's nine airports - excluding Tapachula, which posted a decline of 21% - recorded double-digit growth in September 2011.
