Denver International Airport in Colorado, US, has begun preparations for the construction of its $500m south terminal redevelopment programme.
As part of the preparations, traffic control on the east and west side of the Level 5 roadway will be set and the inside lanes at the south end of the terminal will be permanently closed to enable a safe working environment for crew.
Kiewit secured a $50m contract from the airport to complete enabling work such as relocating utility lines for the new south terminal.
The new terminal project includes a 500-room hotel, a FasTracks train station and an open-air plaza, all designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, according to bizjournals.com.
