Qatar Airways has expanded its code-share agreement with Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJA), according to which the latter will share its RJ code on the former’s flights to Dhaka (Bangladesh), Muscat (Oman), Karachi (Pakistan), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Perth (Australia) and Singapore.

The agreement will allow Royal Jordanian to extend its services to six new destinations with 18 weekly flights between Doha and Amman.

Canadian air carrier WestJet Airlines has announced an offering of senior unsecured notes to raise $400m.

Due 2021, the notes carry an interest rate of 3.5% per annum.

The World Bank Group has approved a $16.62m loan to the Independent State of Samoa to expand the scope of work under the Samoa Aviation Investment Project.

The loan will be used for infrastructure developments at Faleolo International Airport, including improvements to airside pavement, taxiways and fuel hydrant infrastructure.

The development is a part of the government’s decision to construct a new and expanded terminal building and other infrastructure at the airport.
