Passenger traffic for BAA's six UK airports in September 2011 increased to 10.8 million, a rise of 1% compared with the corresponding month in 2010.
Passenger numbers at Aberdeen were up by 11.3%, Glasgow by 3.2% and Edinburgh had its busiest-ever September with an increase of 3%.
Heathrow reported a 1.7% rise in passenger numbers for September 2011 while Southampton recorded a 0.7% increase.
Planned cuts in services at Stansted resulted in a 4% drop in passenger volumes, though the airport reported its highest-ever September load factor of 82.9%.
At Heathrow, the North Atlantic continued to be the fastest-growing market with a 3.5% increase in passengers, buoyed by 5.4% more flights.
