AOptix Technologies has launched its biometric-based identity solution InSight Duo e-gates to be used at airport security checkpoints to enhance aviation security.
The new system captures iris and face images within seconds from a distance of 2m.
The company added face recognition quality image capture to the InSight iris recognition system to provide improved performance in a single integrated unit.
The iris or face databases can be linked to Duo e-gates at locations such as border checkpoints and building entrances.
AOptix said the InSight Duo electronic gate was tested at San Jose International Airport in Northern California, US.
