Newcastle International Airport in the UK is to install the MFlow system to manage passenger flow through its terminal.
The system, which has been developed by Human Recognition Systems, will monitor exit routes from the airport's international and domestic baggage collection areas.
It will include smart surveillance CCTV systems to identify people moving in the wrong direction or standing still near exit lanes, according to liverpooldailypost.co.uk.
Mflow will also identify and alert security staff about unattended objects or objects, which are in the tightly-controlled airside zone.
