Indian Airport Tightens Security Following Terror Threat

Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) in India has deployed additional security personnel in a bid to tighten security following a terror alert issued by central intelligence agencies.

BIA has deployed two battalions from Karnataka State Reserve Police and City Armed Reserve respectively to keep a tight vigil on roads leading to the airport, according to DNA India.com.

The security personnel will check all vehicles approaching and leaving BIA near the Trumpet Junction where the road from BIA connects to Bellary Road (NH4).

A mobile dog squad has also been put into service as part of the additional security upgrade.
