Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi, India, will install a new hi-tech anti-intrusion system as part of its plan to increase airport security.
The perimeter intrusion detection system (PIDS) will detect unauthorised entry through the perimeter walls of the airport, according to PTI News.
Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) will install the PIDS system along the 37km airport boundary by mid-April.
IGI is installing the new security system in response to an incident that occurred recently, where an intruder sneaked into the airport by scaling the boundary wall.
