Airports, roads and rail services in eastern areas of the US have been disrupted in recent days due to a record-breaking snowstorm.
Washington DC and other mid-Atlantic states received a record blanket of snow causing disruption to flight services.
Three of the four runways at Dulles International Airport were blocked and recorded 82cm of snow.
Reagan National Airport reported 18in of snow, which forced the airport to suspend all flights.
United Airlines revealed that it cancelled 628 of its 3,000 flights on 6 February due to the problems at Dulles International Airport, and cancelled a further 270 flights on 7 February mainly due to the disruptions at Reagan airport.
Residents have been using skis and sledges to navigate the icy roads. Weather forecasts have warned of more blizzards expected to arrive today.
