Dubai Airport Passenger Traffic Rises by 14.5%

Dubai International Airport experienced a 14.5% growth in passenger traffic in December 2009 compared with the same period in 2008.

The airport recorded a total of 3,816,360 passengers for the month, its seventh double-digit increase in a row.

Dubai Airport handled 40.9 million passengers in 2009, a 9.2% growth in passenger traffic for the full year.

Cargo traffic rose by a record 26% in December, while overall cargo traffic for the year increased by 5.6%.

Total cargo traffic for the year reached 1,927,520t compared with 1,824,991t during 2008.
