Vienna Delays New Skylink Terminal

02 July 2009

Vienna International Airport operator Flughafen Wien in Austria has stopped the construction of its new Skylink terminal due to delays and cost overruns, Die Presse reports.

The airport's terminal was expected to open in 2008 and is now set to open in 2012 due to the delays.

The projected cost of the terminal has been doubled to €830m ($1.16bn) from the original €400m.

The new finance director at the airport has ordered a review of the new terminal's cost.
