Interactive Flight Information Screens Installed in Hotel

19 June 2008

JANUS Displays have launched a touch screen flight information system at the Hilton hotel at Chicago O'Hare Airport.

The Flight Systems Touch Screen allows hotel guests to easily sort flight data by airline or destination using their choice of an on-screen keyboard or a menu list.

Travellers can view real time flight data on 11 touch screen displays placed throughout the property.

In addition to the touch screens, the Chicago Hilton O'Hare has two static displays and 65 LED room boards throughout the property, JANUS said.

The JANUS touch screens also advertise hotel restaurants, display meeting schedules and provide an interactive map of the property.

A hotel spokesman said the availability of the touch screens encourages guests to remain in the hotel making use of facilities when flights are delayed or cancelled.
