Hatch Mott MacDonald has won a three-year contract to work on the modernisation and expansion of Los Angeles International Airport.
The company will provide engineering design and planning services for taxiways, tunnels, aprons and utility improvements for the new Midfield Satellite Concourse (MSC), the existing Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) expansion, underground utilities and the central utility plant, along with other related projects.
Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
The contract is part of Los Angeles World Airport's US$5bn LAX modernisation programme, which aims to increase passenger comfort, travel efficiency, safety and security at the airport and includes the design of the new MSC and expansion of TBIT.
