Teterboro Installs Web-Based Briefing Programme

11 June 2008

New Jeresy's Teterboro Airport has become the first in the US to implement a web-based airport-specific flight crew briefing.

Funded by the Federal Aviation Administration, the system was produced by the National Air Transportation Association's Safety 1st programme.

The Safety 1st briefing is a customised online training tool that gives pilots and other flight crewmembers flying into and out of Teterboro access to critical safety information about the airport, including its location, layout, operations, regulations and safety and security procedures.

The software and template will be offered to other airports to customise to their specific operations.
