Dubai wants to build the world's largest airport, which will be the equivalent of Chicago and London Heathrow airports combined, able to handle 120m passengers per year.
Dubai Aerospace CEO Bob Johnson said the Dubai World Central airport will be the airport of the future, offering less bureaucracy and inspection procedures for passengers, according to AAP.
"They've (airports) evolved to places where you get on a plane to a place where you and your bags are inspected," Johnson said.
"I think while we can make it safe, we can also make it quicker. The aim should be from kerbside to planeside in 15 mins."
The mega airport is expected to open in 2009.
