Vietnam Approves Noi Bai Expansion

Vietnam has approved the expansion of its second largest airport, Noi Bai International, near Hanoi.

The VND13.74tn (US$857m) expansion will cover the construction of a third terminal, to increase passenger capacity from ten million to 25 million per year.

The expansion will be funded by the state budget, corporate funds and private equity, the government says.

The new terminal is expected to open by 2020.
