Norway Airport Strike Ends

21 May 2008 14:35

A strike by Norwegian airport workers has ended, after closing 12 airports.

The strike over pay, which began on Friday, was resolved when workers and airport operator Avinor reached a deal on Wednesday, Reuters reports.

Avinor says the deal is within its offer of a six percent raise, and includes agreements on new seniority rules for flight traffic controllers, harmonisation of contract terms and compensation related to work time arrangements.

Flights are expected to resume normal operation tomorrow.
