Guardian Technologies International has integrated its PinPoint automated threat detection software with the AutoClear baggage scanner system.
AutoClear is an industry-leading manufacturer of x-ray security and metal weapons detectors used for screening baggage and packages in airports and other venues.
The integration of PinPoint and AutoClear is the successful culmination of a landmark agreement between Guardian and AutoClear, announced in November last year.
The addition of PinPoint to the AutoClear scanner has resulted in the first scanner in the market with a proven turnkey automated detection capability for explosives, guns and ammunition, Guardian says.
