Shanghai Pudong Opens New Terminal

Shanghai Pudong International Airport has opened its new terminal – doubling the size of the airport.

The terminal is expected to increase capacity to 60 million passengers per year.

Last year Pudong handled close to 29 million – nine million more than what it was designed for.

Shanghai Airport Authority chairman Wu Nianzu says possible locations are already being considered for a third terminal at the airport.
