A team of psychologists have helped plan the £35m revamp of Manchester Airport's shopping area.
The revamp will create one of the largest airside shopping areas in the country.
In an attempt to reduce passenger stress levels, security checkpoints have been brought forward in the airport, allowing passengers to pass security checks earlier, leaving more time to relax.
The new shopping area will include a 25,000ft² duty free shop and new restaurants and bars.
Last year the airport's retail income was £65.5m, which is 17% of the airport's overall revenue.
