Now in its fourth year, the SITA - ATW Passenger Self-Service Survey is proving to be a valuable tool in gauging subtle and not-so-subtle shifts in the habits of air passengers.
Over 80 different nationalities, flying on more than 100 different airlines, are represented in this survey. It involved 2,193 passengers, interviewed earlier this year at the gates of six of the world's busiest airports.
This year's survey highlights several areas of opportunity for the air transport industry (ATI) to benefit passengers and to harness innovation around self-service to reduce costs and boost revenues.
