Transport Trends 2009 Edition

10 March 2010

The way we travel has changed radically over the last 25 years, as is demonstrated in this white paper from the UK's Department for Transport. The report looks beyond passenger numbers and investigates the most popular destinations and point of outset, and reasons for travel both in Europe and worldwide.

The UK's airports are also assessed next to their most obvious competitors such as shipping and the channel tunnel for freight as well as commercial travel.

Along with looking at air travel in the UK, this report also looks at road and rail, investigating changing passenger numbers, average journey times and congestion.
