Philippe Rochat has been ATAG’s executive director since 2000. He has 30 years’ experience in the aviation industry – starting his career as assistant to the director general of civil aviation in Switzerland and working in various positions for Geneva International Airport. After serving as the representative of Switzerland on the council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), he was elected secretary-general of ICAO, serving from 1991 to 1997. He has a doctorate of law and teaches air law and air transport economics in several universities.
