Víctor M Aguado is director general of Eurocontrol, the European organisation for the safety of air navigation.

Since taking office in January 2001, Aguado has focused on Eurocontrol's contribution to the European air traffic management system. Between 2003 and 2005, European air traffic management recorded its best-ever annual performances, with flights at an all-time high and delays at an all-time low.
