Willie Walsh

Willie Walsh joined British Airways as CEO in 2005. Prior to this, he was CEO of Irish airline Aer Lingus, a position he took over in the aftermath of 9/11. Faced with bankruptcy and heavy losses, he radically restructured the airline, culminating in its posting a £73m profit in 2004, making Aer Lingus the most profitable state-owned airline in the Western world.
